A certain list.

The purpose of this blog ultimately is as a memoir of my days in college so I could read them when I will be 60. As such here is a list of nicknames that were assigned to a few people in our lives .

  • Abduls- MITs only worthwhile student was the former president of India (yawn, with all due respect) Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam. The first few days of joining here almost every staff member had to reference it that japes about him,old friend, boy friend etc started cropping up in G6. So Abdul was a term given to any guy that you got teased with.

  • Planet-Earth- A naturally loud spoken girl whose self-introduction in the 1st semester in college seemed to address the entire planet.

  • Western- An MJ fan (girl) who was apart of our dance team (MITAFEST 2014).

  • VLM- Hey that's me. :) Other nicknames of G6 members might reveal their true name.

  • Nattai- A particularly tall girl in the said dance team.

  • Dirt bag- A certain...well...um girl...who aherrgh...never bathesum in the hostel.

  • Baby Ma- A friend from Aero dept. For reasons unknown.

And below are a list of words.

  • "What? You think I am dum a?" - Uttered by K during a game of cards after she unexpectedly tackled/dealt a clever one.
  • "Digi Swami"- Resident deity of room no 7225 during semester exams.
  • "Get the comedy?" - Translate "Did you understand?"
  • Venkata Baaa - To sleep. Its a combination of G3's lengthy Telugu name and her favourite activity.
  • Moduling-Modeling
  • Vaativr- "Whatever". To be pronounced like a Russian name.
  • Aloo Lelo- Just say it when you don't know what to say. As a single word. It literally translates in Hindi to "Take Potatoes".
Like omg I need to be studying for Networks assessment and VLSI finals lab tomorrow and what am I doing her updating my blog!!
